Join us for this three-part Intergenerational Lenten Study! Something profound happens to us when trust is broken - be that the trust we had in a person, an institution, a system or a people. While there are countless ways to experience hurt and harm in this life, the particular pain of betrayal is an important theme in the Gospel narrative we hear in the days and weeks leading up to Easter. How are we, as Christians, called to respond to personal and collective instances of betrayal? What resources does our tradition offer us when we find ourselves and our communities in states of extreme pain? And what, finally, does the story of Holy Week and Easter tell us about how God meets us, loves us, and transforms the deep wound of betrayal? All are welcome to this three-part Lenten Study offered by Christ Episcopal Church, Foothills Congregational, and Los Altos United Methodist Church.
